About Andrade Counseling Services
Compassion · Hope · Trust
Andrade Counseling Services was founded with a clear purpose: to create the kind of practice where we would feel completely confident entrusting the people we love most to its care.
We believe every client deserves to feel heard, respected, and valued. Clinical excellence and compassion belong together, and trust is not created by credentials alone—it is earned through consistency, integrity, and every interaction we have with the people we serve.
Our goal has never been to become the largest counseling practice. We want to be the practice people confidently recommend to a friend or family member because they know that person will be genuinely cared for.
Our clinicians remain committed to learning, consultation, ethical decision-making, and providing thoughtful care that recognizes the person—not just the diagnosis.
Above all else, we are here to help people. Here, We Care.

Jason Andrade, LCSW · Athlete mental health
Athlete mental health is a professional passion and primary area of focus for practice owner Jason Andrade, LCSW. Jason understands that athletes face many of the same mental health concerns as everyone else—inside a culture of expectations, evaluation, injury risk, and constant pressure to perform.
Through individual therapy, Jason helps athletes manage anxiety, confidence, identity, setbacks, injury and recovery, sport-life balance, and transitions into or away from competition.

Jason’s approach is grounded in a simple belief: effective therapy begins with seeing the whole person. He works collaboratively with clients, taking time to understand their experiences, build trust, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful change. His style combines compassion and honest conversation with clear clinical goals tailored to each client’s needs and pace.
Athlete mental health is a particular professional passion for Jason. He works with athletes experiencing performance anxiety, confidence concerns, perfectionism, injury and recovery, identity challenges, academic or family expectations, sport-life balance, and transitions into or away from competition. He is currently completing advanced training in sport social work to further strengthen this area of his practice.
Jason became a therapist because he wanted to help people feel heard and supported during the moments when life feels most difficult. He understands that asking for help often requires courage and believes the therapeutic relationship should be built on consistency, respect, compassion, and trust.
As the owner of Andrade Counseling Services, Jason’s goal has never been to build the largest practice. His goal is to build the kind of practice he would trust with the people he loves most—a place where clients feel genuinely cared for and clinicians remain committed to ethical, thoughtful, and compassionate care.

Tate believes therapy can achieve meaningful clinical goals without feeling overly clinical. Rather than emphasizing worksheets or writing on a clipboard, he focuses on listening, therapeutic conversation, and building a welcoming, supportive environment. Clients are given the time they need to develop trust in the therapeutic relationship and are encouraged to begin each session with what feels most important in that moment. His approach is gentle yet goal-focused, helping clients feel both empowered and supported.
Tate believes every person has an immense capacity to overcome life’s challenges, even when they have not yet recognized that strength within themselves. His own background and life experiences shaped his desire to help others find the support, understanding, and direction he once needed. Supporting people through uncertainty, questions of identity, depression, and periods of feeling directionless—and helping them recognize their own resilience—is among the most meaningful parts of this work for him.
Tate earned his Bachelor of Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University in 2019 and returned to Southern to complete his Master of Social Work in 2022. He began providing therapy in private practice as an LMSW under clinical supervision and earned his LCSW in July 2025. His graduate coursework and internship experience were focused on psychotherapy and training in clinical settings.
Outside of work, Tate enjoys spending time with his wife and their golden retriever, Halo. He also enjoys hiking, walking, traveling, exploring new places, and discovering new restaurants.
